The Hotel Danieli is rather spectacular, fronting the Grand Canal, looking out onto San Giorgio Maggiore, the tip of La Giudecca, around the corner from the Piazza San Marco, and
right in the middle one of the main strolling areas of Venice, the Riva dei Schiavone. Built orignially in the 14th century, the building has been used as many types of business
since then, but has been a hotel since about the middle of the 17th century. The photos below give you some sense of the grandeur, the history, the sheer Venice-ness of the place.
